Doug has been in the music industry for over 20 years. At the age of 15 he joined his first band; from then on he knew music was his calling. After years of playing, touring, and recording he discovered that it was the recording process he enjoyed the most. He bought a 4-track and started recording demos for bands in his basement. From there he spent the next eight years as a recording specialist for local music stores in the Kansas City area. Doug has helped design and build several project and professional studios. On New Years Day in 2006, Doug was featured in the Kansas City Star newspaper as a person to watch out for. He decided it was time to take the next step in his dream and open his own recording studio. In April of 2006, Doug opened the doors to The Digital Edge recording studios. Doug has worked on CD projects for Abileen,The Boon, Load Point Pull, Baloney Ponyz, Pomeroy, Danny Cox, and films Das Bus, Bazaar Bizzare, and American Stag. Three of the CD projects Doug produced this year were featured in The Kansas City Star as top 10 local albums to have. The Digital Edge is quickly becoming a hot spot for recording in Kansas City.
